Duska Vrhovac and Richard Berengarten spoke about jeopardised peace in the world today

SERBIA: 50th International Writers’ Assembly, organized by the Association of Writers of Serbia, was held in Belgrade from 19/09/2013 until 25/09/2013. A traditional and respectable literary event, which main task now is, like many other institutions and valuable things, especially in culture, to survive, to not stop existing (until a better time comes, if it comes).

CHILE-Santiago: Poets of the World is an organization that is not linked to any government or political institution, nor religious,   nor any kind. Economically, it is totally independent, not  receive any help to work, self-financed with the support of some poets who do so voluntarily. Participating in the World Poets no cost. And we want to remain economically independent and capable of being self-sufficient. This desire was born the next call, which we believe is attainable for most of our members.

POETS OF THE WORLD IN CHILLÁN. By Luis Contreras Jara*

CHILE-Chillán: Sunday February 20, around noon, a delegation of the universal organization of the World Poets , headed by President and Founder, the poet Luis Arias Manzo, arrived at the Plaza de Armas de Chillán, to leave their evidence of commitment to the province and deliver the humanistic message that inspires the principles of defense and adherence to a planet threatened. The group consists of 17 writers from different countries and continents, he was greeted by some intellectuals who attended the chillaneja fraternal meeting, the first stop of his trip called Road to the south and that included a roaming started in Santiago de Chile, Lebu, Temuco , Angol, Isla de Chiloe and Lake District, among other things.

In the brief tour of Chillán, the poets visited El Diario Discusión, where they were cordially received by journalist Pedro Vicario, who represented the Director of medium,Russel Cabrera, greeted the visitors, taking their messages through that opening brief talks expressed by Luis Arias Manzo, and on behalf of their respective countries, each one handed, basing the motivations that fuel an enthusiastic endeavor for the destiny of humanity, amid a climate of insensitivity to impose the depletion of natural resources, social injustice and the constant military disasters arising from political intolerance and economic interests.

Among the local writers present were: The cultural transmission of our Bio-Bio, writer Luis Frankzinet, Richard Pincheira, manager of the cultural organization Chillán Active, the poet Alejandra Contreras, part of the decentralization movement Poetics, poet Alicia Perez, a member of Poets The World, The Diffusion cultural, academic language and writer Carlos René Ibache and poet and professor Luis Contreras, who welcomed the Poets of the World, which is an integral movement. In the words of welcome expressed gratitude for the visit, praised the courage to establish and sustain a worldwide organization that defends human interests, through the use of the creative word and livelihoods of artistic beauty that is able to raise against the dangers that surround our collective life. In the words of congratulations to everyone and especially the writer Arias Manzo, praised the immense value of this rigorous work that is done without external support or government, strengthened only by the willingness to place the poetic word as a civilizing tool and clear way contribute to peace, freedom and coexistence in a world equal to everyone.

ROAD TO THE SOUTH: Echoes of the meeting in Serbia

SERBIA-Belgrade [English-Español-Serbio]: The language they write in \'had unified\' for the first time the poets of the Writers Association of Serbia and the Serbian Literary Society to hold a collegiate evening of poetry \'Poetry and the mother tongue\' held in honor of the 21st February - International Mother Language Day. Although the Great Hall of the House of writers of Serbia in Francuska Street No 7 wasn\'t heated and despite the bad weather, the poets and the audience were for nearly two hours reciting and listening to healing verses chosen to celebrate the word.

The initiator and organizer of the program, a poet and Ambassador of the Movement Poetas del Mundo in Serbia Duska Vrhovac addressed the audience with an invitation to join this poetic movement, founded in 2005. in Chile, which has already gained over 7,300 members in 120 countries, as reactions to existing international literary organizations that are highly politicized.

\'The movement is completely independent, members pay no dues, and the aim is to turn the word into a real force capable of affecting the fate of the world, because the writers have a mission to fight only in their own words for the rights of all and for the preservation of the planet\' said Mrs.Vrhovac.

Mrs. Vrhovac said that these days in Chile the first Festival of \'Poets of the World\' is taking place and one poet is participating - Aleksandar Milosevic, originally from Serbia and now lives in Sweden, but he will honor the International Day of Mother Tongue there to read his poetry in Serbian.

In order to hear another mother tongue but Serbian which this evening was held in and dedicated to, a guest from Italy, a member of the Movement \'Poets of the World\' Monika Osnato recited verses in her mother tongue, Italian.

Afterwards, poets Slobodan Rakitic, Dusko Novakovic, Milica Jeftimijevic Lilic, Milan Miletic, Tomislav Stevanovic, Vojislav Karanovic, Dragan Jovanovic Danilov, Mico Cvijetić and Bratislav R. Milanovic were reciting their verses and discussing about importance of mother tongue.

Mrs.Vrhovac appealed to everyone who can contribute to improve the poor state of the language culture in Serbia and to develop awareness that language must be cherished. She stressed that the special responsibility have the media, regardless of whether printed or electronic ones.

Poetas en el elogio de la lengua materna

La lengua que escriben en \'había unificado\' por primera vez los poetas de la Asociación de Escritores de Serbia y de la Sociedad Literaria de Serbia para celebrar una velada colegial de la poesía \'La poesía y la lengua materna\', celebrado en honor del 21 de febrero - Internacional de la Madre Día del Idioma. Aunque la Gran Sala de la Cámara de los escritores de Serbia en la calle Francuska n º 7 no se calentó y, a pesar del mal tiempo, los poetas y el público fueron durante casi dos horas recitando y escuchando a la curación versos escogidos para celebrar la palabra.
