Biografia

Toshio KIMURA,

Born in Tokyo in 1956. He was Research Fellow at the University of London, and is Professor at Nihon University, Japan (English Literature/Comparative Literature).

Haiku poet; Member of World Haiku Association.

He gave an invitational address to the Haiku Society of America Conference in Chicago; held a symposium on haiku at the American Literature Association Conference in Boston; Haiku translation for a film of a wandering haiku poet, “HokaibitoSeigetsu in Ina.”

Haiku Collections: In the Distance; Little Brier-Rose, etc.

Other Books: Haiku in Drawing, Imagination and Reality in English Literature; Kaleidscope of Literature; The Maruzen Dictionary of British Culture; 60 Chapters on Travelling Britain, etc.

the spirit of verse

not descended—hunting,
